Remembrance Day.

I found this red poppy on the ground a couple of days after Remembrance day. (Poppy day or Armistice day). It is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth countries since World War 1 to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty. I had seen some real red poppy's growing on a verge that I was planning to photograph but never quite got there so my find was perfect for what I had in mind.  It is a popular day because in the greek calendar the 11/11 is a Saints Name Day... St Mena.
